HYDRO 2016 Conference
This Website is for the IFHS Hydro conference 2016. The next conference will take place 30 October – 02 November 2018 in Sidney, Australia. Please see www.hydro18.ahs.asn.au for details.
After 2002 (Kiel) and 2010 (Rostock-Warnemünde) the annual HYDRO conference has been held in 2016 in Germany again.
Conference Topics
This three-day conference saw many interesting papers on various topics, including, but not limited to:
- Latest technological advances and emerging markets
- Capacity Building
- Hydrographic surveying
- Data processing and management
- Nautical charting
- Coastal mapping and seafloor classification
- Marine renewables
- Education & training

The official language of the conference was English. A maximum of two parallel sessions ensured as many attendees as possible for all presentations.
Along with the conference there was an exhibition with international manufacturers and service providers, on-site boat demos, workshops, user seminars and application / product training as well as a social programme.
